When Sophie contacted us as part of our 'Surprise Someone' initiative (linked below) and told us about her fabulous aunt Bev, we just knew we had to put something amazing together. Despite the freezing cold time of year, a collection of over 10 singers and volunteers who had never met Bev, gathered from around the UK to surprise her in her local city centre. Bev loves ABBA, and so we rewrote some ABBA classics to be all about her...We'd never sang the flash mob medley together before that morning. Her friends and family were waiting to surprise her behind, the whole time. When David from the USA called us and told us about his plan to surprise Nataly in Paris, we were OVER THE MOON to be part of it. Here's the story... Nataly and David were planning a family trip to Paris to celebrate 27 years together. The original idea was to do a vow renewal whilst there but Nataly thought it would be too much stress and too expensive, so they abandoned the idea... or so she thought. In the background, David was saving and planning the surprise of a lifetime! And only their eldest son DJ was 'in on it', planning to be the 'celebrant' for the secret vow renewal ceremony. We planted Ben as the fake photographer who met the family in a beautiful park by the river. At the right time, me and Josh introduced ourselves and asked them if they'd be in our video... watch to see the rest, including the gorgeous ceremony by the Eiffel Tower at the end, and ANOTHER surprise we put together for the kids! Now this was a wild one. We were tasked with celebrating Year of The Bush and so we rewrote 'Guess' to be all about the different bush stylings!! We don't usually get to show you guys this kind of work that we do... so we're super excited to share this with you all! We loved getting to work on this FANTASTIC brief from Mercedes. The original advert was choreographed by the one and only Sergio Reis of CDK Company, a team who we find awe-strikingly incredibly inspiring. Creating a live version of the essence of the ad involved, all in LESS THAN 2 WEEKS: - working with the perfect choreographer (the fabulous Matt Nicholson) - finding the perfect cast from our Club Mob team and the wider London dance world - costuming to match both the ad and the event colour schemes - finding the perfect track and remixing it to suit our performance - working with two incredible musicians to bring it to life in the room - many creative consultations with the client to make sure we did the advert justice and WOWED the guests at the event! This is actually footage of the dress rehearsal - a snippet of the real performance can be found on our instagram @clubmob. But I think you'd agree - you can't tell it's not the real thing... the dancers absolutely SMASHED IT. Big thanks to Tro Experience for bringing us on again to work with them on this.
